Black Velvet Cocktail Recipe

BLACK VELVET COCKTAIL Recipe

The Black Velvet cocktail is a mix of Irish Stout and Champagne. Originally created for a funeral, it soon became a popular drink for a variety of occasions. The cocktail combines two alcoholic drinks that you probably wouldn’t intuitively mix together: Irish stout, usually Guinness, and Champagne. Even if you don’t like stout – or conversely, Champagne – you should try the cocktail.

INGREDIENTS

  • Guinness beer
  • Champagne or sparkling wine

METHOD

  1. Fill a highball glass half with chilled Guinness.
  2. Top with chilled Champagne, pouring it over the back of a spoon into the glass.
