Egg Nog Cocktail Recipe

EGG NOG COCKTAIL Recipe

This vintage Egg Nog cocktail is literally a thickened alcoholic milkshake flavoured with Cognac and Rum. Egg Nog is a vintage Christmas libation and George Washington, America’s first President famously made his own. So it’s time to make your own Egg Nog too.

INGREDIENTS

  • 25 ml/ ⅚ oz. Cognac (Brandy)
  • 25 ml/ ⅚ oz. Caribbean Rum
  • 10 ml/ ⅓ oz. sugar syrup
  • 25 ml/ ⅚ oz. milk
  • 1 fresh egg (white & yolk)

METHOD

  1. Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes.
  2. Shake and strain back into shaker.
  3. Now dry shake (without ice) and fine strain into ice-filled glass.

NOTES

Eggnogs are sweet and creamy cocktails that are often mixed with eggs, milk and cream. The drink has its origins in the United States and with this simple recipe you can have a homemade eggnog in your hands to toast in just a few simple steps.
