The Old Gal cocktail is a variation of the Old Pal cocktail made with bianco Vermouth; this has a milder effect on the Whiskey than the dry Vermouth traditionally used for the Old Pal.

INGREDIENTS

• 30 ml/ 1 oz. Rye Whiskey
• 30 ml/ 1 oz. Campari
• 30 ml/ 1 oz. Vermouth bianco
• merest pinch of salt

METHOD

1. Fill a mixing glass ⅔ full off ice.
2. Add the ingredients and stir until chilled.
3. Add a big ice cube into chilled old fashioned glass.
4. Strain into the old fashioned glass.
5. Express orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.
