PARMENIDES COCKTAIL Recipe

The Parmenides cocktail is named after Parmenides, a Greek philosopher from the 6th century BC. The cocktail is a typical sour-style cocktail served neat and consists of Cognac (Brandy) , Chartreuse Green, white wine and lemon.

INGREDIENTS

  • 40 ml/ 1 ⅓ oz. Cognac (or Brandy)
  • 10 ml/ ⅓ oz. Green Chartreuse
  • 20 ml/ ⅔  oz. Chardonnay white wine
  • 20 ml/ ⅔  oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 20 ml/ ⅔  oz. sugar syrup
  • 4 dashes of Absinthe

METHOD

  1. Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into ice-filled cocktail glass.
