The Parmenides cocktail is named after Parmenides, a Greek philosopher from the 6th century BC. The cocktail is a typical sour-style cocktail served neat and consists of Cognac (Brandy) , Chartreuse Green, white wine and lemon.
INGREDIENTS
- 40 ml/ 1 ⅓ oz. Cognac (or Brandy)
- 10 ml/ ⅓ oz. Green Chartreuse
- 20 ml/ ⅔ oz. Chardonnay white wine
- 20 ml/ ⅔ oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
- 20 ml/ ⅔ oz. sugar syrup
- 4 dashes of Absinthe
METHOD
- Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake well.
- Strain into ice-filled cocktail glass.
